About Us

Andy McCuen - Celebrant

My joy in performing ceremonies began with a love of public speaking. In 1979, I was a founding member of a Toastmasters group in San Diego and I discovered the wonderful of world of delighting an audience. Over the many years since then, I have honed those skills considerably and now I find that I am completely at home in front of any size audience, from 5 to 500.

In addition, I love the art of ceremony. Shortly after I began doing weddings  in 1995, I discovered that personalizing the ceremony is the real key to making them memorable and enjoyable. I work with couples to find ritual elements and styles that are really “theirs” and that will honor their families and the traditions from which they come.

In 2005 I became a certified Celebrant after training through the Celebrant USA Foundation. This is an organization that teaches and promotes the performance of meaningful ceremonies for the many passages of life. This training has greatly enhanced my knowledge of wedding traditions and the process of designing meaningful ceremonies.

I would love to work with you to design a memorable event for this most joyous of occasions.

Toni Torquato - Celebrant

A passion and enthusiasm for crafting memorable ceremonies is the gift I bring to the wedding.  I enjoy the creative process of working with my couples to design ceremonies that affirm their love and values.

I am a graduate of CelebrantUSA, an educational institute dedicated to training civil celebrants to officiate at the ceremonies that mark the milestones and transitions of our lives.  My mission is to create a ceremony that reflects your genuine needs, beliefs, philosophy of life, culture, and ethnic background and values.

My passion for ceremony and ritual began as a child, raised in the Roman Catholic tradition. Every week for years, I sang in the choir for weddings, funerals, high masses and devotions.  My cultural background is from the Italian and Slovakian traditions, where family, food and celebrations were aplenty.

Service has been my career path, from registered x-ray technician, to licensed massage therapist and life coach, to celebrant of ceremonies.  These experiences and training have honed my ability to listen to both patient and client.  Listening is a significant skill that enables me to give my clients what they want and need.

As a founding member of a women’s support group, I further honed my abilities to create vibrant, meaningful ritual experiences to assist in problem solving and attaining hearts’ desires.  Creativity, art and performance have been my hobbies through the years, making personalized greeting cards and collages, singing in choirs, karaoke and ball room dancing.

Put that all together, I am uniquely qualified to create and officiate one of a kind, personalized wedding ceremonies that honor any couple.
